The Association: Background

The Finnish Music Publishers Association was founded in 1976 as an umbrella organization for representing the interests of Finnish music publishers.

The Association has currently 42  publisher members. It is a non-profit-making organisation with no business aims of its own. The association is a member of both Teosto, the Finnish Composers Copyright Bureau, and  Kopiosto, joint copyright organisation for authors and publishers.

Mission of the Association

  • To promote, support and protect the prerequisites for successful operation, development, and growth of Finnish music publishing business
  • To represent comprehensively the professional music publishers in Finland
